Hi, I'm Gabriel Irizarry, founder of Charlotte Golf Concierge.

I picked up golf at 25 years old, and like so many golfers, it quickly became more than just a hobby—it became an obsession. Today, I play to around a 15 handicap and am always looking for opportunities to get out on the course, whether I'm at home or traveling.

Every time I planned a trip, I faced the same question:

Should I travel with my clubs?

Anyone who's flown with golf clubs knows the hassle. Airline baggage fees, hauling a heavy travel bag through the airport, worrying about clubs getting damaged, or figuring out how to fit everything into a rental car—it often felt like more work than it was worth.

The alternative wasn't much better.

Most golf courses offer rental clubs, but they usually have limited availability, older equipment, and you're only able to use them for that single round. If you wanted to warm up at the driving range, play multiple courses, or simply enjoy clubs that felt like your own, you were out of luck.

That's where the idea for Charlotte Golf Concierge was born.
